Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Tipsy!
Tipsy is a very sweet and loyal young girl who is looking for a calm, patient family to help her feel safe and secure. She is a sensitive soul who can become worried by touch, close handling, and unfamiliar situations, and when she feels unsure, she is incredibly submissive and eager to appease. Because of this, she will do best in a gentle home where she can take things at her own pace and build confidence gradually.
Once Tipsy has had time to settle in and develop trust, her affectionate nature begins to shine. She loves being close to her people and is likely to become a devoted companion who enjoys plenty of cuddles and quality time with her family. She must be allowed indoors so she can remain close to those she loves.
During her behaviour assessment, Tipsy was too overwhelmed to show much interest in play. As she becomes more comfortable in her new surroundings, her playful side may begin to emerge, and her new family will have the rewarding task of discovering the toys, games, and activities she enjoys most.
Tipsy would be best suited to a home with calm, gentle older children who understand the importance of giving her space when needed. Any children must meet her prior to adoption. She has previously lived alongside her sister Nala and gets along well with other dogs. While she was eager to approach another dog during her assessment, she became a little worried when the other dog matched her excitement levels. For this reason, she would do best with a calm, social, and tolerant canine companion, and any resident dogs must meet her before adoption.
With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, Tipsy will reward her family with unwavering loyalty, affection, and a beautiful bond that only grows stronger with time.
