Kaylee's Story

📚 Meet Professor Kaylee - Head of the Puppy School! 🐾

A+ student? More like A+ teacher! Kaylee is the kind, patient pup who's earned top marks for helping teach younger dogs how to play politely and appropriately. If there were a school for good dog manners, she'd be running the classroom!

But don't let her teaching credentials fool you, Kaylee is also a world-class love bug. She has an endless supply of affection and absolutely thrives on spending time with her people. Pats, cuddles, praise, and kind words are all guaranteed to earn you extra credit in Kaylee's book.

This clever girl already has excellent manners and, thanks to her love of treats, she's a superstar when it comes to learning new lessons. Whether it's brushing up on her skills or showing off what she already knows, Kaylee is always eager to impress.

Curious and inquisitive by nature, Kaylee likes to stay involved in all aspects of family life. From exploring the backyard and supervising household activities to relaxing indoors for a well-earned nap, she's always keen to be part of the day's lesson plan. She's looking for a home where someone is around more often than not, as she can get a little bored when her favourite people are away.

As any good teacher knows, learning never stops! Kaylee will benefit from ongoing training and regular enrichment activities to keep her bright mind engaged. She loves a challenge and enjoys showing off her impressive skills. She may also enjoy sharing her classroom with a calm canine companion, pending successful introductions.

If you're looking for a bright, affectionate companion who's equal parts teacher, student, and best friend, Professor Kaylee is ready to enrol in your family and become the star pupil of your heart. 🎓❤️🐾

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
