Gabby's Story

πŸΎπŸ’• Gabby! πŸ’•πŸΎ

Hi there! My name is Gabby 🐢❀️ and I'm a 3-month-old red American Staffy mix with big hopes, big dreams, and an even bigger heart!

Life has been a little confusing for me so far πŸ˜”. I didn't get to spend much time with people when I was younger, so a lot of this big, exciting world is still brand new to me. But you know what? Now that I've discovered humans, I've decided they're pretty amazing! πŸ₯°βœ¨

I'm on a mission to make as many human friends as possible πŸ€—. I'll happily come looking for cuddles, company, and reassurance because, if you know Staffies, you'll know we're famous for loving our people with our whole hearts ❀️🐾. I can't wait to have a special someone of my very own to adore.

Now, fair warning... I come with a healthy dose of Go-Go juice! πŸš€πŸ I'm a busy little bee who loves exploring, investigating, and seeing what adventures each day brings. There's always something exciting to sniff, chase, learn, or discover! πŸŒΏπŸ‘ƒπŸΎ

Because everything is still so new to me, I'll need a family who is ready to help me navigate the human world πŸŒŽπŸ’›. Someone patient and understanding who can show me the ropes, help build my confidence, and gently teach me all those important puppy life skills. I'm looking for a team mate who can guide me with kindness while I learn things like basic manners, toilet training, and how to be a well-rounded canine citizen πŸŽ“πŸΆ.

I'll also need plenty of positive social experiences so I can continue growing into a happy, confident young lady 🌸✨. With encouragement, consistency, and lots of love, I'm ready to blossom into the wonderful companion I was always meant to be.

So, if you're looking for a loyal best friend, a professional cuddle enthusiast, and a little sidekick who's ready to discover the world by your side, I might just be your girl πŸ’•πŸΎ.

Love, Gabby 🐢❀️

"I may be small now, but my love for my future family is going to be absolutely enormous!" πŸ₯°βœ¨πŸ‘🐾

What should I feed my puppy?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my puppy?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
