Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Introducing Miss Lucy Locket!
Lucy Locket is a sweet and timid girl who is looking for a calm, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. She can be easily frightened by sudden movements, loud noises and busy environments, so she will thrive with an understanding family who will allow her the time and space she needs to build confidence.
When bringing Lucy home, it's important to let her lead all interactions. Rather than forcing attention, allow her to approach when she feels comfortable. Food will be a wonderful way to build trust and strengthen your bond with her, and offering tasty treats can help create positive associations with her new family.
Lucy will need to be initially set up in a quiet launch room where she can safely adjust to her surroundings. This space should include plenty of hiding spots, comfortable resting areas and high perches where she can observe the world from a place of security. Providing these options will help her feel safe while she settles into her new environment.
A scratching post or scratching tower should also be available to give Lucy an appropriate outlet for scratching, stretching and enrichment. As her confidence grows, she will gradually begin to explore more of the home and show off her lovely personality.
With patience, gentle encouragement and a peaceful home environment, Lucy Locket will blossom into a wonderful companion and rewarding addition to the family.
