Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Bud is a handsome Kelpie looking for an experienced owner who understands the breed's intelligence, sensitivity, and need for connection. Affectionate and active, he loves being part of the family and will thrive in a calm home where he can be included indoors and supported with routine and structure.
Like many Kelpies, Bud needs daily exercise, mental enrichment, and ongoing training to keep his busy mind occupied. He's highly food motivated, already knows "sit," and enjoys enrichment activities such as snuffle mats, Kongs, and puzzle feeders.
As a working breed, he can display instinctive behaviours when anxious that need appropriate guidance and outlets, so he is best suited to experienced owners who understand Kelpie traits and can set him up for success. We have noticed this typically occurs when he is around new people and busy environments, and would do well with patient guidance, positive reinforcement, and confidence-building.
Bud has previously lived with other dogs and enjoys canine company, so any resident dogs will need to meet him before adoption. Due to his sensitive nature, he is best suited to a home with teenagers or older children.
If you're familiar with the Kelpie breed and looking for a devoted mate who will reward your commitment with endless loyalty, Bud could be the perfect fit.
