Koda's Story

🐺 Meet Koda – The Little Explorer! 🏕️🐾

With a curious spirit and a heart full of love, Koda is a sweet Kelpie puppy ready to set off on the greatest adventure of all: finding his forever family.

This handsome little explorer is incredibly people-focused and loves being around his humans. Whether he's investigating the backyard, playing with his favourite toys, or tagging along for the day's activities, Koda wants to be right in the middle of the action with his family.

Koda is a clever young pup with a sharp Kelpie brain and a big love of food, making him an ideal training partner. He's eager to learn, enjoys enrichment activities, and is sure to pick up new skills quickly with some tasty rewards and positive guidance.

Friendly and adaptable, Koda could fit well into a variety of homes, including those with children and other dogs. He may also be able to share his camp with feline friends, provided introductions are slow and thoughtful.

While experience with working breeds is a bonus, Koda's biggest wish is simply to find a family who will include him in everyday life, provide plenty of enrichment, and help him grow into the amazing dog he's destined to become.

If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy, a smart young sidekick, and a pup who'll happily follow your trail wherever it leads, Koda is packed and ready for the journey! 🐾🌲💙

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
