Learn dog body language
While our canine companions canβt speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Ruby is a gorgeous 3-year-old Border Collie with the sweetest heart and a soul full of forgiveness. β€οΈ Despite spending much of her life on a tether, Ruby has never lost her love for people or her enthusiasm for life. She is proof that even after a difficult start, a dog can still choose joy. πβ¨
ππΎ Ruby is a true country girl at heart. Her dream life isn't sitting in a suburban backyard with nothing to do. Instead, she dreams of:
Ruby is wonderfully small and compact, making her the perfect size for tagging along wherever life takes you. ππ
Like any clever Border Collie, Ruby thrives when her brain and body are kept busy. She absolutely loves:
She is a bright little genius who loves being included and truly blossoms when she feels part of the family. When she's had a day full of activity, Ruby settles beautifully and has not been destructive in her pen. π€π
Ruby has successfully passed her dog assessments and can enjoy canine company. πΎ
She can become very excited and occasionally frustrated around other dogs, especially when she can't get to them. With patient handling and gradual introductions, Ruby can make wonderful dog friends. π
In fact, she already has a best mate in the shape of a playful male Kelpie. Together they spend hours:
Ruby may benefit from a friendly, sociable canine companion in her new home. ππ
Because Ruby spent so much of her early life isolated on a tether, she developed a habit of air-snapping when frustrated or overstimulated. This behaviour is not directed at people, but rather her way of expressing excitement or frustration when lots is happening around her and she feels left out.
For this reason, Ruby would be best suited to:
β A breed-savvy home
β Older children
β An active family
β An acreage or rural lifestyle
β People who want their dog involved in daily life
Ruby isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for belonging.
She deserves a family who sees beyond her rough start and recognises the incredible dog waiting underneath. A family who will take her for ute rides, let her supervise farm chores, take her swimming, teach her new tricks and make her feel included every single day. ππΎβοΈ
In return, Ruby promises unwavering loyalty, endless enthusiasm, plenty of laughs and a lifetime of devotion. π₯°πΎ
ππΎ Ruby is ready to leave her past behind and start the country adventure she's always dreamed of. Could that adventure be with you? πΎπππ‘
