Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Eight Ball
Eight Ball is a gentle boy who is steadily growing in confidence and learning that people can be pretty wonderful, especially when chicken is involved! Highly food-motivated, he quickly warms up with tasty treats and has been making great progress during his time in care.
While he can still be a little unsure of affection and may pull away from handling at times, Eight Ball is becoming increasingly comfortable seeking reassurance from trusted people. He will often approach for chicken and has started enjoying gentle shoulder and neck rubs, rewarding his carers with deep, contented purrs. If something startles him, such as people passing by, he may briefly retreat before returning to check in and seek comfort.
One of Eight Ball's favourite things is curling up in a cosy bed where he can relax and unwind. When feeling safe, he'll roll over, soak up gentle attention, and let his sweet personality shine through.
Eight Ball is looking for a patient and understanding home that will allow him to settle in at his own pace. With plenty of kindness, reassurance, and a few tasty treats, this handsome boy will continue to blossom into a loving and rewarding companion.
