Eddie's Story

🐾 Meet Eddie 🐾

🤎 4 Month Old Brown Brindle Mix

Irish Wolfhound × American Staffy × Mastiff

Sweet Eddie is a charming young fellow with a beautiful brown brindle coat and a bright future ahead of him! 🐶✨ At just 4 months old, he's a happy, confident pup with a curious nature and an eagerness to discover everything the world has to offer.

This lovable youngster is taking in new experiences one paw at a time and is ready to find a family to call his very own. 💕 Eddie loves investigating his surroundings, learning new things, and making friends wherever he goes. With the right guidance, patience, and plenty of love, he's sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.

🐕 Eddie may thrive in a home with a friendly older canine sibling who can help teach him the ropes and show him how to become the very best version of himself. 🥰

If you're searching for a loyal sidekick, a playful adventure buddy, and a lifelong best friend, Eddie could be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️

🐶 Before Welcoming a Puppy Into Your Home

🌱 Learning About the World

Puppies are only just beginning to understand life alongside humans. Positive experiences, gentle introductions, and reward-based training will help Eddie grow into a happy and confident adult dog. Celebrate good choices with treats, toys, praise, and lots of affection! 🎉🐾

🦴 Chewing Instincts

Like all puppies, Eddie enjoys exploring with his mouth and will need plenty of appropriate chew toys to keep him entertained. 🦴 Having safe spaces such as crates or puppy pens can help prevent mischief while giving him a secure place to rest and relax. 🏡

🚽 Toilet Training

Toilet training takes patience, consistency, and understanding. Accidents will happen, but positive reinforcement when Eddie gets it right will help him learn much faster. 🌟

⚡ Energy & Curiosity

Eddie is a young pup with a big sense of adventure and plenty of energy to burn! 🐾 Expect playful zoomies, lots of investigating, and a few cheeky puppy moments along the way. Children should always be supervised around puppies and taught how to interact gently and respectfully. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💙

❤️ A Long-Term Commitment

Puppies grow quickly, but the bond you build lasts a lifetime. The time, training, and love you invest in Eddie now will help shape him into a well-mannered and devoted companion for years to come. Before adopting, be sure to research his breed mix and make sure you're ready for the commitment of welcoming a growing puppy into your family. 🥰🐶

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
