Tiger's Story

Meet Tiger! 🐾

Tiger is a male, 2-year-old English Staffordshire Terrier with a sturdy, athletic build and a big, friendly heart.

Tiger is a loyal, confident boy who loves learning new things. Daily enrichment keeps him happy, whether that's practicing new tricks, enjoying scent games, or having gentle introductions to suitable dog friends. He would thrive with a family that works average hours and enjoys a moderately active lifestyle.

He loves a predictable routine, positive reinforcement training, and relaxing evenings spent with his people. While Tiger can get along well with calm, well-matched dogs, he can be selective with his canine companions and is not suited to busy off-leash dog parks.

Tiger is looking for a home without small pets, including cats, birds, fowl, pocket pets, or small dogs.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will reward your patience and care with endless affection, Tiger could be the perfect match. He's ready to become a steady, loving presence in his new family's life.

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
