Freddo's Story

Meet Freddo! 🐾

Freddo is a handsome, happy-go-lucky boy who is ready to find a family to call his own! Friendly, social, and easy-going, he's always keen to make new doggy friends and could happily live with either a male or female canine companion.

This sweet boy enjoys his daily walks and strolls beautifully on lead, but his absolute favourite pastime is following his nose and exploring the world around him. Freddo loves enrichment activities, is highly treat-motivated, and is always up for a fun adventure with his people.

When the zoomies strike, Freddo would love a large, secure yard where he can stretch his legs, play, and burn off some energy before settling down for cuddles. After a day of fun, he'll be more than happy to curl up on the couch and enjoy some quality time with his family.

Freddo would suit a home with children of any age and secure fencing. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he isn't suitable for homes with small animals.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion with a playful spirit and plenty of love to give, Freddo might just be your perfect match! ❤️🐶

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
