Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Big Boy is a gentle, affectionate soul with a sensitive heart, ready to find a calm and patient home where he can truly feel safe. He forms lovely bonds with his people and enjoys soft pats and quiet affection once he feels comfortable.
This big goofball is a bundle of energy, but can be a little bit worried at first. Having spent some of his life as an outdoor dog, Big Boy can feel a bit unsure about indoor environments so is looking for an understanding adopter willing to let him settle in at his own pace and bond with him before introducing new experiences. He’s a smart boy who's already off to a great start, knowing his “sit,” and will thrive with continued, reward-based training once settled.
A calm household with teenagers would be ideal, though older, respectful children may also be considered. Big Boy has previously lived with other dogs and has shown himself to be calm and social. He must meet any resident dogs prior to adoption, and he would likely gain confidence from having a gentle canine companion by his side.
Although not necessary, if you have room for 2 canine friends in your home, Big Boy would love to go home with his best friend Kira!
With patience, kindness, and understanding, Big Boy will blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion.
