Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

“Red Dog"
7-year-old Red Cattle Dog
About Red
Red is a mature, intelligent cattle dog who has experienced significant changes over the past 12 months. Transitioning from life as a working farm dog to being tethered full-time has understandably impacted his confidence and routine.
He is now ready for a fresh start with a patient, experienced owner who can offer him stability, understanding, and the time he needs to decompress and rediscover a relaxed, fulfilling life.
Personality and Strengths
Red is a very smart boy who thrives on communication and consistency. He forms strong connections with his person and is looking for someone he can trust and bond with.
* Very intelligent and responsive
* Food and treat motivated
* Knows and responds to a sit cue
* Clean in his pen and will wait to be let out to toilet
* Observant and engaged with his surroundings
* Builds trust through calm, clear communication
Red is generally tolerant of other dogs, though he would likely thrive best in a single-dog household where he can be the focus of attention and guidance.
When out and about, he may show mild arousal when he sees other dogs (tail up, ears alert, slight vocalisation). This is more curiosity than concern. In these moments, he benefits from calm, purposeful handling—keeping him moving and focused rather than allowing him to fixate.
Red is a wonderful dog with so much potential. He doesn’t need perfection—he needs patience, understanding, and compassion. With the right person, he will grow into a deeply loyal and rewarding companion.
Red Dog is ready to find his person—someone who will guide him kindly, respect his needs, and give him the love and stability he truly deserves
