Bundy's Story

Bundy is a cheeky fun and affectionate boy. To be allowed indoors to be a part of the family, would do best in a home where he can be involved in daily family activities. Bundy can be a little unsure with close handling and restraint, new adopters will need to go slow and make all experiences fun and positive. Recommend using high value treats or a ball. Bundy is ball obsessed. May need structured play time as he struggles to have an off switch. He loves to chase and bring the ball back to you but will also engage in some self-play. Bundy knows how to sit and lie down, may be able to use a toy as his motivator, otherwise having high value treats will help assist in continuing his training Open to the right family. Must meet other dogs at time of adoption, has previously lived with another female dog. Was very avoidant and worried by the other dogs he met in shelter. May do better as a single dog household. Would recommend a calm, social female friend Bundy's journey is being lovingly followed by the TV show For the Love of Pets, capturing his path as he searches for the safe, happy forever home he truly deserves. His story is a special one, and this opportunity allows his new beginning to be shared and celebrated with a wider audience. To be part of Bundy's journey, his future adopter will need to feel comfortable participating in filming. This will include welcoming the film crew to capture the adoption meet at the RSPCA, as well as potentially taking part in a gentle follow-up visit in the home once Ranger has had time to settle in and truly shine in his new environment. These moments help highlight the incredible impact of adoption and give Bundy the happy ending he deserves. If you're open to sharing in this experience, you'll be helping show just how life-changing a second chance can be-for both Bundy and his new family.

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
