Information

Animal is injured, sick or neglected and requires attention.

RSPCA Queensland has been attending the Ekka since 2006 with our Education Mobile Unit (EMU). Hundreds of children and their parents come through our interactive classroom on wheels to learn animal welfare while they enjoy the Queensland show.

This year we are in a brand new spot at the Ekka at the old museum site! The theme is all about bringing biodiversity back to our backyard. Our RSPCA team will be giving stage presentations every day about domestic reptiles and what it takes to care for and own a reptile. Volunteer Laurece will be back again this year with her foster kittens to showcase not only appropriate pet care, but also ways that cats and wildlife can co-exist with the help of cat enclosures.

This year you can purchase your Ekka tickets here with code RSPCA18 to receive 10% off. Terms and conditions apply: 10% Off Discount applies to full priced general admission tickets. Offer excludes 10 Day Pass, Ride Cards and Food and Drink Cards. Discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Valid until 11:59pm AEST Thursday 9 August, 2018.

Attracting around 400,000 visitors from across the country each year, the Ekka is a true Queensland experience not to be missed.

There are over 300 activities throughout the grounds where families can interact with animals, enjoy iconic rides, live music, show bags, cooking demonstrations, family shopping, monster trucks, and much more!

The Ekka runs from 10 -19 August, 2018.

For Brisbane and surrounding residents, be sure to keep your pets secure during the Ekka as there will be fireworks. Read more here about keeping your pets happy and safe during celebrations.
