Jack and Chloe: Tails of Honour

Jack Hingert's honourable tail started many years ago, supporting the RSPCA as an Ambassador and also fostering dogs.

Jack says, "Growing up I always loved dogs but never had the chance of owning one as a child. I was always jealous of my friends who had dogs so I made sure I always went to their houses to play with them.”

"My partner Symmie and I have always had great respect for the RSPCA and the work they do so as soon as we were in a position to foster, we didn't hesitate!”

Jack fostered dozens of dogs in their home for the RSPCA of the years, all while still having a busy training schedule and professional football life with the Brisbane Roar.

Jack says being able to foster was completely rewarding, “Just seeing the change in their personality and behaviour since being in a stable, loving environment is incredible. There is nothing more rewarding than helping these poor mistreated pups find themselves and a new, loving family and, likewise, the family a new companion."

Little did Jack realise, one of his foster dogs was about to become a permanent adoptee for the couple.

After a bad injury sidelined Jack, he wasn’t able to foster the bigger dogs he was used to helping so regularly at the RSPCA, so he was paired up with Chloe.

A lover of treats, toys and TV time, Chloe was the perfect companion for Jack’s recovery.

But as Jack returned to the field, Chloe became a part of their family.

She watched the birth of Jack’s son Billy, was by his side for every morning coffee, and grew to be a big part of his lifestyle.

Fostering for Jack and Sym turned into adoption tale of honour and love. Chloe started as a sidekick, but she quickly became the MVP of his family’s starting line-up.
