Information

Animal is injured, sick or neglected and requires attention.

On Saturday April 5, we opened our brand-new RSPCA Op Shop in Mackay! It’s a first in the region and one we hope will be much loved in the community for years to come.

Located on Shakespeare Street in Mackay, the big blue entrance is hard to miss!

At RSPCA Queensland, sustainable shopping and second chances are really important to us. That’s why our new Op Shop in Mackay will be a fantastic way to connect with more of our supporters in the area and raise much-needed funds for the 700-plus animals that come through our Mackay shelter doors every year.

Featuring clothing, accessories and household items, the new RSPCA Op Shop marks the 23rd store across Queensland giving pre-loved items a new lease on life!

All funds raised from RSPCA Op Shop sales directly help animals in need. Whether you’re donating good quality items you no longer need for resale in one of our stores, or grabbing a bargain by shopping with us, every little bit counts!

What to donate to an RSPCA Op Shop

Doesn’t fit but in good nick? That clothing item at the back of your wardrobe or chucked in your draw, can be donated and go to good use!

If you have an appliance or item that’s broken or damaged though we can’t resell it in-store.

Here’s a helpful checklist of what to donate to your local RSPCA Op Shop:
