In May, Cooper the little shih tzu came into RSPCA care along with 26 other small breed dogs. He was unkempt and in desperate need of some tender, loving, care.

What a transformation for this little pooch - from when he first came into RSPCA care, to his new look after a much needed makeover.

Before and after of Cooper

It didn’t take long for Cooper and his friends to find new, loving homes, but it was a lot of work behind the scenes for the RSPCA to get all of these little dogs ready for adoption. Vet checks, desexing, grooming and everyday care; it all adds up!

This August, you can help ensure pets like Cooper can get the love and care they deserve, by supporting RSPCA Cupcake Day. Whether you’re a baker, or just keen to support the cause, it’s free to register to host your own RSPCA Cupcake Day in support of all creatures great and small.

Cooper is now living the high life in his furever home.

His new mum says, "Cooper has settled in well. My family all love him and he will have a wonderful life with us. Getting very spoiled! I am very glad I adopted him and he can have a better life than before."
