New RSPCA Wildlife Hospital at the Redlands development application submitted

RSPCA Queensland is excited to announce that the Development Application (DA) for the new RSPCA Wildlife Hospital at the Redlands has been officially submitted to Redland City Council. This marks a significant milestone in our journey to create a world-class facility dedicated to wildlife care, rehabilitation, and education.

Key Project Details

The project will deliver a purpose-built Wildlife Hospital, built to support the growing demand for wildlife rescue and care in Southeast Queensland. The facility will integrate leading medical, rehabilitation, and educational spaces, aiming to future-proof wildlife care for generations to come. The project is on track to deliver the new facility in early 2026.

• Location: The project has secured 1 hectare of already cleared land at the Redlands Coast Eco Precinct (IndigiScapes).
• Project Partnerships: This project is a collaboration between RSPCA Qld and Redland City Council, showcasing strong community and Council support.
• Funding Update: Our capital campaign, Together for Wildlife, continues to make progress towards our $25 million fundraising target. Almost $20 million has been committed in funding.
  • The project has received $5 million in grant funding from the Australian Government under the Saving Koalas Fund.
  • The State Government has committed $12m for the project.
  • $1 million has been received by generous philanthropic supporters, an additional $2 million has been pledged and specialist fundraising continues.
