Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Cheeto, a sensitive and sweet cat who is looking for a patient, understanding adopter ready to help him feel safe and secure. Cheeto came into care with six other cats and several kittens after a rough start where he was completely shut down and fearful. While loud noises and fast movements can still startle him, he has completely blossomed into a smoochy, social boy once he feels settled in. Because he is cat-social, Cheeto would love a home with another friendly feline, and he may even do well with a calm, social dog if interactions are carefully monitored. Since Cheeto is naturally timid in new environments and takes time to reveal his true, affectionate self, he is looking for a quiet home with calm, older kids who can read basic cat body language and know exactly when to give him some space.
