Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Guava is a timid girl who has been dealt a tough hand in life and is ready to find her safe corner in the world. She arrived in care after a suspected snake bite and had also raised multiple litters during her time as a stray.
Despite her history of adversity, people who know Guava describe her as a sweet, affectionate kitty who loves gentle attention and happily curls up on laps for a cuddle.
Guava can startle in response to sudden movements, and may be shy to physical touch to start off, but you will earn her trust through calm, gentle interactions. She is learning that people can be trusted and her ideal adopter will know that should they give her time and lots of opportunities to move at her pace, she will reward them with devotion and love. Beneath her nervous exterior is a loving, smoochy cat who just wants a home to feel safe. She would love to have lots of places to hide in, such as cat trees and hidey holes, and will need a launch room to start off in.
Guava is looking for a quiet, understanding family who will allow her to take things slowly. With understanding, TLC, and plenty of safe places to retreat to, we believe she will truly blossom into an affectionate companion.
