Arrow's Story

Meet Greg!

Greg is a handsome young American Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has come a long way since arriving in care with his seven siblings. Found covered in ticks, this resilient little man has put those tough beginnings behind him and is now embracing everything puppy life has to offer!

Greg is a social, friendly boy who loves meeting new people and making friends. His happy-go-lucky personality shines through in everything he does, whether he's playing with his toys, exploring the backyard, or spending time with his humans.

Full of puppy charm and affection, Greg enjoys being part of the action and will happily soak up any attention on offer. He's eager to learn, loves companionship, and is sure to thrive in a home that can continue his training and socialisation as he grows.

Despite his rough start, Greg has blossomed into a confident, loving pup who is ready to find a family to call his own. His sweet nature and friendly disposition make him a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes.

If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Greg could be the perfect addition to your family.

Greg is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date with his parasite prevention, so he's ready to start his next adventure with you!

What should I feed my puppy?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my puppy?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
