Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Koda!
Koda is a social, affectionate little guy who loves being close to his people and will thrive in a home where he can be included as part of the family and enjoy indoor access. He has found the shelter environment a little overwhelming and may need some extra time, patience, and understanding while he settles into his new home. A consistent routine and predictable structure will help him feel safe and secure as he adjusts to his new surroundings.
Koda will require secure, solid fencing to ensure he cannot escape or squeeze through gaps. He is very food-motivated and enjoys mealtimes.
While Koda is a loving companion, he can be a little unsure of close handling and restraint. His new family should take interactions at his pace. Koda would be best suited to a home with older, calm, and respectful children who can understand and respect his boundaries. Any children in the household must meet Koda prior to adoption.
Koda is looking for a single-dog home and is not suitable for off-leash dog parks, dog beaches, busy cafés, or other environments where he may encounter unfamiliar dogs in close proximity.
Visit your nearest RSPCA Adoption Centre, RSPCA Op Shop, RSPCA World for Pets or Petbarn store and adopt an animal in person. You can also apply to adopt an animal online.
