Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Big Red is a handsome ginger boy with a gentle soul who is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly flourish. While he may take some time to settle into new surroundings, once he feels safe, Big Red enjoys gentle affection and will happily lean in for pats from people he trusts. His favourite thing in the world is food, especially chicken, and treats are a wonderful way to help build his confidence and strengthen your bond.
Big Red can become overwhelmed by too much change or stimulation, so he will thrive with a gradual introduction to his new home. Starting in a smaller, quiet room and allowing him to explore at his own pace will help him feel secure. He enjoys having plenty of safe spaces to retreat to, including hides, cat trees, shelves, and other elevated resting spots where he can observe the world around him. Daily enrichment, puzzle feeding, and structured play sessions will help keep his intelligent mind engaged and support his wellbeing.
Big Red would be best suited to a calm household with older, respectful children who can understand when he needs space. Big Red may be able to live with a calm, social dog and could potentially share his home with another cat, pending careful introductions.
With patience, understanding, and plenty of tasty treats, Big Red is sure to reward his new family with trust, companionship, and the joy of watching him grow in confidence. An outdoor cat enclosure or secure enrichment space may also help satisfy his curiosity and give him another outlet for exploration. 🧡🐾
