Puzzle's Story

🧩 Puzzle 🧩

Hello there... my name is Puzzle, and I’m a six-year-old Bull Arab girl with a very big heart and an even bigger dream. ❤️

You see, life didn’t start out very kindly for me. For a long time, I spent my days tethered, with little shelter from the weather, no real routine, and not much reason to believe that people could be trusted. I didn't know what it felt like to be part of a family or to have a place where I truly belonged.

But somehow, despite all of that, I never stopped hoping.

These days, the lovely people at the shelter tell me I'm one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet. 🥰 I've discovered that humans can be kind, that gentle hands bring comfort, and that friendship is actually a pretty wonderful thing. I've made lots of friends here, both two-legged and four-legged! 🐾

I’m a gentle girl by nature, but don't let that fool you. I have a playful side too! I love getting out and about on my harness, taking in all the exciting smells on a good old-fashioned sniffari. 🌿👃 Walks are one of my favourite things, especially when there's time to stop and investigate every interesting scent along the way.

Did someone mention water? 💦 Well, you'll usually find me first in line! Whether it's splashing, paddling, or simply cooling off, I'm a big fan.

What I'm really searching for is something I've never truly had before: a family. A calm, patient household where I can continue building trust and forming those special forever bonds. A home where I'm welcomed indoors, where I can curl up on a comfy bed, feel safe, and know that I'm part of the family. 🏡❤️

I'm the sort of girl who absolutely treasures her favourite people. Once you're in my heart, you're there for good. I love close company, quiet moments together, and simply being near the humans I adore.

I'd likely enjoy sharing my new life with another friendly dog too, pending a successful meet and greet. 🐶

After everything I've been through, some people say there's something extra special about me. Maybe it's resilience. Maybe it's forgiveness. Or maybe it's just that even after a difficult past, I still believe the best is yet to come.

So if you have a safe yard, a warm spot inside your home, plenty of love to give, and room in your heart for a truly deserving girl, I might just be the missing piece to your puzzle. ❤️🧩

Puzzle currently lives in a quieter area of the shelter, and meet-and-greets can be arranged by appointment. She can't wait to meet the people she's been dreaming about. 🐾💕

Puzzle arrived to us in terrible condition & tested positive for Heartworm. She is currently undergoing treatment. The RSPCA will cover all costs of this treatment until she tests negative. We are happy to discuss this with you further if you are interested in adopting her.

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
