Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Mate is a sweet and sensitive boy looking for a calm, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace. Having had limited exposure to many everyday experiences, Mate can find some seemingly ordinary household sights and sounds worrying, including appliances and other common items. Despite his cautious nature, he absolutely loves people and enjoys spending time with his trusted humans, forming strong bonds with those who give him patience and reassurance.
Mate thrives on routine and structure and will do best in a home that can provide consistency and clear expectations. He enjoys his food and would benefit from enrichment feeding to provide mental stimulation and encourage natural behaviours. He also enjoys having soft, comfortable places to rest and relax.
One of Mate's biggest passions is playing with a ball. He is highly ball-motivated and will happily spend his day searching for one. Mate may be suitable to live with another calm, social female dog, pending a successful meet and greet and slow introduction process. He is looking for a family who can understand his body language, support him when he feels unsure, and appreciate the incredibly sweet and affectionate dog he truly is.
