Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Benjamin is a friendly, affectionate boy who enjoys life's simple pleasures: a warm sunbeam, a cozy blanket, and spending time with his people. With a medium energy level, he's happy to join in on playtime with wand toys, puzzle feeders, laser chases, and box explorations, but he also knows how to unwind with a peaceful afternoon nap.
Benjamin may take a little time to build his confidence in a new home, so he'll thrive with a patient family willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Once he feels safe and secure, his affectionate and gentle nature shines through. With kindness, routine, and plenty of positive interactions, Benjamin is sure to reward his new family with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of purrs.
Benjamin loves being near his family, whether he's curled up on your lap, relaxing beside you while you read, or keeping you company during movie night. He's social, gentle, and enjoys human companionship without being overly demanding. He's great with children, with no known issues around kids, and adapts well to household routines. His easygoing nature makes him a wonderful fit for many different homes.
Benjamin is also FIV positive, but don't let that discourage you. FIV is a manageable condition, and many FIV-positive cats live long, happy lives with proper care. FIV cannot be transmitted to people or other non-feline pets, and Benjamin has so much love to offer a family willing to look beyond his diagnosis.
At the end of the day, Benjamin is simply looking for a forever family to love. Expect a warm welcome when you walk through the door, complete with purrs, head bops, and a happy stretch. If you're searching for a low-maintenance, affectionate friend who can balance playful moments with quiet companionship, Benjamin could be your boy.
