Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Mochi
Mochi is a sweet and gentle soul who may be a little shy when first settling into a new home, but with patience and understanding, her loving personality soon begins to shine. When she first arrived in care, she was quite overwhelmed by her surroundings, but she has made wonderful progress and continues to grow in confidence every day.
Once Mochi feels comfortable, she enjoys curling up in laps for gentle pats and settling in for a cosy snooze. She responds beautifully to calm affection and is a truly lovely companion to spend time with.
Mochi is looking for a patient adopter who understands that she may need a little extra time to adjust to a new environment. Starting her in a small launch room and gradually introducing her to the rest of the home will help her feel safe and secure. She will also appreciate plenty of cosy hiding spots, scratching posts, cat trees, and elevated perches where she can relax and observe the world around her.
Mochi would be best suited to a quieter home with teenagers who understand cat body language and can respect her need for space when she's feeling unsure. While her interactions with other cats have not been tested, she may do well with a calm, social dog if introductions are managed carefully.
With a little time and kindness, Mochi will reward her new family with gentle affection, warm cuddles, and loyal companionship.
