Fizzy's Story

Meet Fizzy, a beautiful girl looking for a forever family. Fizzy is a shy and sensitive girl who can be worried by new people and in new environments. She is looking for love, understanding and people to show her a world where she can feel safe and build some trust. Fizzy would love the chance to enjoy a home with indoor time, where she can enjoy human company and be a part of the family. She is a smart girl and would do very well with gentle, positive training and maybe some tasty treats to recognise her effort! She could do well with respectful children and a calm, friendly dog family member and a meet with the whole family and any dog friends would be arranged before finalising her adoption. Fizzy is strong and athletic, so activity is an important part of a health lifestyle. But for Fizzy, it all comes down to connection and love. This young lady is working on manners, house training, walking on a lead, and understanding boundaries. She is looking for a patient and committed owner to support her on this learning journey. Fizzy need safety, love, trust and support to grow, in return she is offers a special and unique connection, a loyalty and love, and a chance to learn and grow together.

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
