Beetle's Story

Beetle Juice 🐾

Beetle Juice, affectionately known as Beetle, is a handsome Bull Arab mix who came into care as a stray and is now looking for a loving family of his own. While not much is known about his previous life, one thing is certain: he's an incredibly sweet boy with a gentle nature and lots of love to give.

Beetle Juice enjoys the simple pleasures in life, especially food! This lovable lad is always happy when treats are involved and will likely thrive with positive reinforcement training. He hasn't had much formal training and doesn't currently know many basic commands, but he's a good-natured dog with plenty of potential.

Beetle Juice is looking for a home that can provide him with guidance, consistency, and patience as he continues to learn. With the right support, he's sure to grow into a wonderful companion and loyal best friend.

He may be able to live with another dog pending a successful meet and greet, making him a potential match for a home with a suitable canine friend.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog with a big heart and an even bigger appreciation for snacks, Beetle Juice could be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️🐾

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
