Dobby's Story

Hi, I'm Dobby! 🐾

Are you looking for a fun-loving best friend who is always up for an adventure? Well, you might just be looking for me!

My name is Dobby, and I'm a happy-go-lucky pup who loves making the most of every day. Whether I'm playing with my toys, exploring the world on a walk, or spending time with my favourite people, I'm all about having fun and keeping busy.

I've got a clever brain and love learning new things, especially when treats, toys, or games are involved. Puzzle feeders, enrichment activities, and training sessions are right up my alley and help keep me entertained. I'd love a family that can continue teaching me new skills and showing me all the exciting things life has to offer.

One of my favourite parts of the day is heading out for a walk and sniffing every interesting scent along the way. There are just so many things to discover! 🌿👃

I'm also a social guy who enjoys spending time with other dogs, so if you already have a canine companion at home, I'd love the chance to meet them first and see if we can become best mates.

If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, an enthusiastic adventure buddy, and a pup who will fill your home with laughter and love, then I think we'd make the perfect team.

What do you say? Let's start our next adventure together! ❤️🐶

What should I feed my puppy?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my puppy?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
