Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Shilo – a sweet but sassy little filly looking for her forever home!
Shilo is bursting with personality and charm! This cheeky young girl loves to play, roll around in sawdust, zoom around the yard, and show off her fancy moves with the occasional buck and kick. Underneath all that sass, she is incredibly sweet and enjoys her time with people – she’s just still learning how to be a polite little lady.
As a young foal, Shilo is very much in her “learning phase” and will need an experienced, confident horse person who understands how to guide and shape young horse minds. She has started learning to lead and is making good progress, but she’ll need a patient and steady approach, especially when being introduced to new environments – slow and consistent is key for this sweet girl.
Shilo will benefit from ongoing training to help her develop safe, calm interactions with people. Like any youngster, she can get a little overexcited, so her new home will need to be committed to teaching her good manners and boundaries in a positive and consistent way.
To set her up for success, Shilo is looking for a home with a calm, mature adult horse who can help show her the ropes and teach her how to “be a horse.” This kind of companionship is so important for her social development and confidence.
With the right home, guidance, and a little patience, Shilo has all the makings of a wonderful companion and a very special horse. She just needs someone ready to invest the time and love into helping her grow into her best self
