Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Mac is a sweet but shy girl who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can build her confidence at her own pace. Mac loves curling up in a cozy hidey-hole where she can feel safe and secure. Once she's had some time to settle in and get to know you, she'll happily lean into gentle cheek rubs and enjoy your affection.
Mac arrived at the shelter with her sibling and would thrive in a home with another calm, confident feline friend who can help show her the ropes and reassure her that the world isn't such a scary place.
Mac will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her come out of her shell on her own terms. She would be best suited to a quieter home with teens or older children who can respect her need for space while she adjusts.
With patience, kindness, and a little time, Mac is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion and show you just how sweet she truly is.
