Jasper's Story

Hi, I'm Jasper! 🐾 I'm an active, social young boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I'm looking for a calm, structured home where I can settle in, feel safe, and show you just how awesome I really am! The shelter has been a bit overwhelming for me, so I might need a little time to decompress in my new home-but once I do, I'm ready to be your loyal companion. I'd love to be included as part of the family and spend time indoors with you. Having my own cosy space (like a crate or bed) will help me relax and learn when it's time to switch off. One of my favourite things? Enrichment! I LOVE snuffle mats and using my brain, so feeding me through fun puzzles and activities will keep me happy and busy. I'm a strong boy on lead, so I'll need a front-attach harness and some continued training-but I'm keen to learn! Starting in quiet, low-distraction areas will really help me succeed. I'm best suited to a calm home (teens are okay!) where everyone understands the importance of staying relaxed and helping me feel secure. I can get a bit bouncy and cheeky-especially since I've discovered I can jump onto tables-so I'll need a secure yard with solid 6ft fencing. Sometimes I can feel unsure with handling, especially around my feet, so I'll need gentle, positive interactions while we build trust. The good news? Once I'm comfortable, I love calm, gentle massages-talk about the good life! 🐶 Dog friends? I'd do best with a calm, social female who matches my vibe. 🚫 Busy dog parks and crowded places aren't really my thing.
