Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Hank, a seriously cool dude with a heart just waiting to shine. This handsome boy has a gentle nature and a playful side, though he can be a little nervous in new environments or around unfamiliar people. With patience and support, his personality truly begins to come through. Hank would do best with someone who can be home for the first few days to help him settle in, build confidence, and feel secure in his new surroundings.
Hank would love to be an indoor dog and part of the family, where he can relax and bond with his people. Crate training may be very beneficial for him, giving him a safe and comfortable space to retreat to when he feels worried or overwhelmed.
He’s also a big fan of fun, especially when water is involved, and would thoroughly enjoy having a clam shell pool to splash around in. Hank is an intelligent dog who will benefit from daily enrichment, such as puzzle feeders, scent games, or other activities that keep his mind engaged.
Hank is a social boy with other dogs, so he will need to meet any resident dogs prior to adoption to ensure a good match. Hank however is not suitable for a home with small animals or cats. He is patiently waiting for the right family—one that is understanding, patient, and ready to help him grow into the confident companion he is capable of becoming.
