Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Shelly is a sweet 1.5‑year‑old black cat who arrived in care with her kittens. She was an exceptional mother—patient, devoted, and attentive—but now that her babies are grown and adopted, it’s finally her time to focus on herself.
Shelly is naturally a little nervous in new environments, but she has a soft, trusting nature and responds beautifully to calm voices and gentle handling. With a loving, patient home, she will continue to come out of her shell and show more of her affectionate personality. She’s ready to enjoy life as the one being cared for, not the one doing all the caring.
Visit your nearest RSPCA Adoption Centre, RSPCA Op Shop, RSPCA World for Pets or Petbarn store and adopt an animal in person. You can also apply to adopt an animal online.
