Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Hi, I’m Cabbage, I am a beautiful boy in an attractive smooth, short coat of black and white. I came to the RSPCA very scared and in poor condition. A beautiful foster parent helped my build be health and confidence up and I am now looking for my forever family.
My foster parent gave me time to settle and adjust and I found that very reassuring. It took me a couple of weeks, but I eventually started to feel safe enough to relax, enjoy the view from the window and chat to the other cats in the house. Whist I am making great progress, I am still fearful and scared and am looking for a family who will understand and help me to build trust and confidence. I'm not sure that young children would be a good fit for me, but older, respectful kids who can understand and respect me could be a good fit. I haven't had much contact with other cats but I'm happy to chat from a distance, who knows, I might even like to live with a dog - if they were calm, social and gentle! AS I get comfortable, I am happy to be picked up and patted although I am not a big cuddler. I am self-motivated in my play and enjoy vertical and horizontal scratchers. I enjoy sitting on the lounge and being near people who care for and understand me.
