Darling's Story

Darling is a sweetheart through and through, living up to her name in every way. Darling is a beautiful German Shepherd cross with a heart just as big as her ears. Known for their loyalty, intelligence, and devotion to their families, German Shepherds thrive on companionship, and Darling is no exception. She loves training and putting her busy brain to work, but her favourite thing in the world is being with her people - she is happiest when included as part of the family.

Darling loves attention and affection from those she knows and trusts. She hasn't been particularly interested in toys in shelter, however in her previous home she enjoyed playing with balls and sticks so would likely open up more in a home environment.

Darling would be best suited to a home with older children, as she can become excited and a little jumpy at times.

Darling can be reactive to dogs, but is open to a home with a social, friendly, non-reactive dog - pending a meet and greet prior to adoption. Darling could also thrive as an only dog in the home. Regardless of the setup, her adopter will need to be committed to managing and continuing to work on her dog reactivity.
