Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Barrie is a striking grey boy with a big personality and a lot of potential in the right home. He’s smart, sensitive, and very clear about his boundaries, so he’ll thrive with an adopter who understands feline body language and respects his signals.
During his time in care, Barrie has shown signs of arousal when overstimulated, so he’ll need a calm environment with predictable routines. He is not a cat who enjoys over‑petting, and he’ll do best with someone who can offer affection on his terms and recognise when he needs space.
Barrie isn’t suited to young children, but older, respectful kids who can follow guidance may be a good match. With patience, structure, and a confident handler, Barrie will reward his person with loyalty, charm, and plenty of character.
Visit your nearest RSPCA Adoption Centre, RSPCA Op Shop, RSPCA World for Pets or Petbarn store and adopt an animal in person. You can also apply to adopt an animal online.
