Proactive Animal Welfare

Our goal is to keep people and their pets together by empowering and educating communities, enhancing access to veterinary care and improving animal welfare policy, regulation and enforcement.

Our key strategic activities include:

  1. Leading the community in preventing cruelty and suffering, embedding animal welfare in everyday actions and delivering quality care in the most appropriate setting.
  2. Delivering programs that empower vulnerable Queenslanders to enjoy their animal companions with positive welfare outcomes.
  3. Investigating acts of cruelty and enforcing the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001.

Positive Wildlife Impact

We’re striving to enable better wildlife outcomes through wildlife treatment and protection, building community capability, delivering high quality care and positively influencing wildlife policy and legislation.

Our key strategic activities include:

  1. Working with all levels of Government advocating for improved policy and resourcing in the protection, rescue, treatment and rehabilitation of native wildlife.
  2. Collaborating to optimise wildlife outcomes through building capability of veterinarians, carers and partner organisations, and in the delivery of high-quality services.
  3. Activating, educating and empowering community members on wildlife issues and engage new audiences and supporters.

  2. Engaging and mobilising our supporters and communities through connection, partnerships and targeted campaigns.

Financial Sustainability

RSPCA Queensland’s lifesaving work is 95% funded by the generosity of the community. We are committed to being a financially responsible and resilient charity, with diversified revenue streams, efficient service delivery and appropriate reserves to sustainably support more than 47,000 animals each year.

  1. Ensuring sustainable long-term revenue through diversified income sources.
  2. Delivering strong financial results through operational efficiency.
  3. Ensuring the effective use of assets.
