Injured wildlife on Australian roadsides is an all too familiar sight for most of us. At the RSPCA, we do the best we can to respond to calls about injured animals, but we don't do it alone.
A wildlife carer of 15 years, Sue Allan is the Florence Nightingale of injured and orphaned Australian wildlife. She has rehabilitated approximately 170 marsupials and counting!
Recently, the RSPCA Rescue Team responded to a call about an injured Kangaroo that was spotted wobbling through a caravan park after being hit by a car, losing its mother and bearing a broken foot. Against all odds, thanks to immediate medical care, her joey Rosemary, miraculously survived and is slowly being nursed back to health by the caring hands of Sue.
