Information

Animal is injured, sick or neglected and requires attention.

Pyjama King, Peter Alexander, will be visiting RSPCA Qld’s Wacol Campus on Saturday 14 December for the first time. Peter is excited to view the wonderful facilities at Wacol and to continue raising awareness and funds to help all creatures great and small.

Peter Alexander has been “sleeping around” for over thirty years. From the time he made his first set of pyjamas on his mother’s kitchen table, to becoming Australia’s leading sleepwear label.

Peter has always had a passion for animals. He fell in love with his first dog Penny back in 1996. Peter and Penny became inseparable, with Penny often modeling for the brand. You can still find Penny in many Peter Alexander stores and on the sleepwear prints today. After Penny went to doggy heaven in 2005, Peter wanted to find a way to honour her memory and thank her for everything she had given him. He became an ambassador for the RSPCA as a way of giving back and raising awareness for animal welfare. Peter has adopted his current four-legged love Butch from the RSPCA and has become one of the RSPCA’s most ardent supporters, raising over $990,000 for the RSPCA over more than 10 years.

Peter creates an exclusive product every year which is sold in all Peter Alexander stores nation-wide with 100% of profits being donated to the RSPCA. This year, Peter has created a range of limited edition chocolate bars with exclusive package designs.

Peter will be at RSPCA Qld’s Wacol Campus on December 14 at 10.30 am. Peter is planning a tour of the wildlife and domestic hospitals as well taking the opportunity for a few cuddles in the adoption area.

Peter will be available for photos and interviews during his visit.

When: 10.30 am December 14

Where: RSPCA’s Wacol Care Centre, 139 Wacol Station Road.
