Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Adoption Recommendations:
Huey is a bashful gentle little man. He came in with his littermate and 2 other dogs. All quite worried at intake. Huey was housed with his brother Dewey for awhile and they got on well most of the time but were having scuffles over food so had to be eventually housed separately. Huey is very food motivated and will sit for treats. Has never been on lead so is still learning how to walk on lead and will need a patient owner to help him with this and work on his confidence.
Open for the right family.
Meet other dogs at time of adoption. Would do best with a calm social doggie friend. Was able to meet other dog in shelter but is very fearful and easily overwhelmed so will need a slow meet to give him time to gather his confidence.
Visit your nearest RSPCA Adoption Centre, RSPCA Op Shop, RSPCA World for Pets or Petbarn store and adopt an animal in person. You can also apply to adopt an animal online.
