Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meow, I am Sir Smoochalots,
You don't have to call me Sir, but you can if you want as I am quite refined. I also fit my name because I am very smoochy and loving. Apart from being a sleek black kitten with big eyes that will dazzle you as I look up at you for a pat, I have longer fur and so I am quite handsome. I am a sensitive guy and you might think I don't like you at first as I hide away from the big scary world but if you give me some scratchies I melt into your hands and then start begging for more! If you were to take me home, expect me to find the nearest hiding place and I will be there for awhile. You may be able to lure me out with yummy treats as I am a guzzle guts! I am cat social and I am sure a gentle doggo will be fine too. Give me time and I will be the best snuggly lap cat, you could every wish for. Do I sound like your purrfect cat?
