Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Winston is a gentle, sweet-natured boy who just needs a little time to show his true affectionate self.
He can be a bit shy at first and may feel unsure about touch initially, but with a calm and patient approach, he softens beautifully—leaning in for pats, bunting for attention, and purring contentedly once he feels safe. He would do best with teens or older children in the home who can give him space when needed.
As he settles, Winston quickly reveals his loving side. He’ll happily come forward to ask for more attention and enjoys relaxing quietly in his favourite spot, often stretched out on the shelf during the day.
Winston has a bit of a quirky side when it comes to food—he can be a little fussy and has a habit of covering his bowl with blankets! That said, he has a clear favourite… roast chicken is the way to his heart and a great way to win him over.
Having come into care with multiple other cats, Winston would do well in a home with another feline friend, provided introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully to help him feel secure.
In the right home Winston will blossom into a loving, loyal friend who will reward you with gentle affection and soft purrs.
