Mittens's Story
Please meet a beautiful young lady, Mittens. There is so much to love about our tabby cat, Mittens - from the beautiful, wacky 'M' on her forehead right down to her cute white paws. The colour of Mittens's coat is known as a 'chocolate tabby' - she is a mix of dark chocolate, caramel and white - imagine a delicious swirl cake. Mittens came into the Shelter with her siblings and she is settling in well. She is very friendly and loves her people, especially when you talk softly and stroke her coat gently. When she has become comfortable (almost immediately) with you, she will respond with lots of purrs and cuddles. Please read on for Mittens's care:-
* DIET/FRIENDS/CARE-A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, wet food and fresh, clean water is perfect. Mittens hasn't lived with children however, with support, she could possibly manage cat-savvy, respectful children. It's a possibility that Mittens could live with a friendly cat or dog if her guardians help her integrate with them. Regular vet visits are needed in the future.
* INSIDE LIFESTYLE-is non-negotiable for Mittens, as a cat is definitely never safe outside and neither is the wildlife. Inside fun can come from a couple of large scratching posts, toys and cardboard boxes and gentle affection for her.
* LAUNCH ROOM-This is a temporary area that Mittens can feel secure in if she feels overwhelmed and it helps greatly with her transition, as she is a little shy.
