Mira's Story

🐾 Mira

Mira is the cool, mysterious one of the group—she’s got that “don’t mess with me” attitude at first glance, but there’s so much more beneath the surface.

She can be a little guarded when meeting new people, but once she lets her walls down, you’ll discover a playful, loyal, and deeply loving pup who just needed a little time to trust. Mira has a big personality and a strong spirit, making her both a fun and rewarding companion.

If you’re patient and ready to earn her trust, Mira will give you a bond that’s strong, special, and one-of-a-kind.

What should I feed my puppy?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my puppy?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
