Tiny Ted's Story
Meet Tiny Ted, a male Shetland Pony.
Tiny Ted is a little Shetland pony who will need a very patient, experienced, and understanding home. At this stage, Tiny Ted is very touch-avoidant and is not halter or lead trained. He will panic if pressure is applied on a lead, so gentle, consistent handling is essential.
Tiny Ted will require regular, ongoing desensitisation to people, halters, and lead ropes, all at a slow pace and on his terms. Building trust with him will take time, consistency, and calm, pressure-free interactions.
He has previously lived as a paddock pony alongside other livestock, including sheep, goats, and several other ponies - and would be best suited to a similar companion-based environment.
Tiny Ted is looking for a home that understands shy, unhandled ponies and is committed to helping him gain confidence with kindness and patience. With the right approach, he has the potential to slowly build trust and feel more secure around people.
