Ellie's Story

Meet Ellie 🌷 A bright, toy‑loving young lady who's just waiting for her special people to help her shine! Ellie may start off a little shy, but once she feels comfortable her personality really pops-especially when toys come out! Balls and squeaky toys are her absolute favourite, and nothing brings out her happy, playful side faster. Watching Ellie discover the joy of play is truly heart‑warming. She'll do best in a calm, relaxed home with teens or adults who enjoy interactive fun and understand her enthusiastic toy style. Ellie can get very excited during playtime, which makes play sessions lively and full of joy-she'll thrive with people who can channel that energy into structured, positive games. Ellie is perfectly suited to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, enjoying cozy downtime indoors and safe outdoor adventures in her own space. She prefers to be the one and only dog, which allows her to relax fully, feel secure, and build a strong bond with her humans. Because of her playful excitement and herding‑breed instincts, Ellie will be happiest in a cat‑free home, where she can focus all her affection on her people. Ellie is looking for: A peaceful home where she can grow in confidence People who love playing with toys and building trust through fun A single‑dog household where she can truly be the star Secure fencing and lots of love If you're searching for a sweet, playful companion with a love of toys and a heart just waiting to open up, Ellie might be the perfect match for you 💖🐾

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
