Make A Yummy Christmas Treat For Your Dog!

Want to treat your pet this Christmas but don’t want to cause upset tummies and unexpected trips to the vet? While there are a foods to avoid feeding your pet this festive season, here is one healthy recipe from The Golden Bone Bakery that is fun to make for your canine companion and can be cutely wrapped up for Christmas too!

• 300g lean mince
• ½ peeled sweet potato
• 1 peeled, ripe banana
• 1 apple (remove stem & pits)
• 1 cage-free egg
• ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and place a baking sheet onto a baking tray.
2. Dice your peeled sweet potato and boil until soft. Use the cooking time to cut apple into pieces and peel the banana.
3. Place the softened sweet potato, banana, apple, egg and cinnamon into a food processor and blend until combined.
4. Add the lean mince to the mix and combine with your hands.
5. Roll small balls of the mix and place onto the baking sheet. Leave a couple of cms between each ball. Flatten with a fork for texture.
6. Place baking tray into your oven and bake for about 40mins.

Let your healthy treats cool down before spoiling your best friend! Store the treats in a container in the fridge and make sure you use them all within one week.
